Physicist, holding a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Javier started his career as a Data Scientist with his doctoral thesis applying artificial neural networks to time series prediction. He is currently an Ass. Professor at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), and was a Visiting Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2012. He has more than 20 years of experience in industrial projects in areas such as Business Intelligence, Data Mining, Customer Decision Journeys or Complex Systems. He is an expert translating business needs into technical solutions. He was the mentor of the Hero Award winner team at the I-COM Data Science Hackathon 2014.
