Marco has over 10 years of digital leadership experience as Executive Director at Cybermedia, a Japanese digital communication strategy agency specialized in mobile and social media, spearheaded the mobile strategies of brands like Lufthansa, Shiseido, Renault, Nespresso, Volvo and others.
Before moving to Japan, Marco was a marketing manager at I-D Media AG, one of Europe's first and most successful online media service agencies, in charge of building concepts for virtual online worlds and online communities. Later he became the marketing director of the interactive TV unit of ID Media called ID-TV helping broadcasters and TV manufacturers with their future interactive TV strategies.
He has 15 years of work experience in the online industry, 10 years of mobile marketing experience in Japan and 6 years of social media experience. He also has 7 years of trend research and consumer insight experience. He is a trend specialist and advisor for global media and telecommunication companies.
He is a publisher of a wide range of reports and articles on Japans mobile and online industry, social media as well as Japanese consumer behavior and a frequent speaker at international and local digital industry events.
In 2010, Marco finished a consumer behavior focused mobile strategy guide book based on the experiences and learnings in Japan which was published by Wiley in January 2010 in Europe/US and 2012 in Korea.
Since October 2013, Marco has been appointed as a part-time teacher of eMarketing at the International University of Japan for MBA students. The IUJ Business school is consistently ranked among the top schools in the world by leading business and education publications.
