February 11, 2019 - Posted at MrWeb News Online: In the US, Comscore Vice Chairman Bill Livek [pictured, left] has joined the Board of first-party data solutions provider ALC; and the firm has appointed Andy Johnson [pictured, right] as Chief Data Officer (CDO), with responsibility for its data strategy, acquisition and operations.
Founded in 1978, Princeton, New Jersey-based ALC offers a range of products and services including list brokerage, data management, digital solutions and modeling and analytics. Its proprietary analytic and optimization platform, The Efficient Frontier, enables marketers to build a 360-degree profile of their customers and prospects.
Livek joins the ALC Board with a 41-year career in sales and marketing, and was the CEO of film and TV measurement firm Rentrak prior to its acquisition by Comscore. He began his working life at radio ratings provider Arbitron, before becoming President and CEO of Scarborough Research. After Scarborough was acquired by VNU (now Nielsen), Livek co-founded a holding company for the purpose of acquiring and growing data, information, and research firms. Through this vehicle Livek bought Simmons Market Research Bureau, and sold it to Experian Marketing Services where he became SVP and co-President of Research Services.
Johnson joins with a 22-year career in the field of data-driven marketing. Most recently, he served as SVP of Data and Audience Solutions for Acxiom/LiveRamp. Before this, he spent more than sixteen years at Experian, latterly as VP of Data and Client Services. He began his data career developing online partnerships at Infogroup. In his new position, Johnson will develop ALC's strategy to build on its first-party data expertise, while adding new data and processes.
