Essence appoints Oindrila Roy as Head of Strategy and Rahul Marwaha as Vice President, Digital Media Activation in India

Additions to India leadership team strengthen the agency’s skills and capabilities in line with its product vision and business development plans

Delhi, India, 26 February 2019 - Essence, a global data and measurement-driven media agency which is part of GroupM, today announced the appointment of Oindrila Roy [pictured, left] as Head of Strategy and Rahul Marwaha [pictured, right] as Vice President, Digital Media Activation in India. Oindrila and Rahul will work closely with Anand Chakravarthy, Managing Director, India at Essence.

In her role, Oindrila will develop and apply audience, market and product insights to identify challenges and opportunities, and deliver against clients’ business objectives. She will also inspire consumer-first excellence and champion best practices in the strategy discipline. With almost two decades of experience, Oindrila has worked at Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, JWT and Lowe Lintas.

In his role, Rahul will be responsible for overseeing digital media buying and optimisation for all of the agency’s clients in the market. With over 15 years of industry experience, he was most recently at IPG Mediabrands’ Interactive Avenues where he drove innovative digital marketing solutions for brands through marketing, strategy, creative and tactical implementation.
