Michael Sheng is the Co-Founder and main technology driver at DoGood Media. Yuan Ren - Head of Data Science, mParticle, USA

Yuan Ren is Head of Data Science at mParticle, a customer data platform that integrates and orchestrates data across channels, partners, and systems. Yuan works on data driven products in general, including building reliable and near real-time data pipeline, designing and implementing algorithms to extract insights from data, and delivering custom-facing analytics features.

He has a background in software engineering and machine learning. Previously, Yuan was Sr. Principal Research Engineer at Yahoo, where he came via the acquisition of interclick. At interclick/Yahoo, Yuan built services and algorithms to optimize performances of digital advertising.

Yuan holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University and a BS in Automation from Tsinghua University, China.

Samuel C. Franklin, PhD - Vice President of Data Science, 360i, USA

Dr. Samuel C. Franklin is an experienced Big Data analytics leader with expertise in statistics, machine learning, and consumer psychology. Samuel earned his B.S.B.A. in Finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and continued on to Columbia University where he earned an M.A., M.Phil., and PhD.

As Vice President of Data Science, Samuel leads a talented team of analytics professionals developing advanced solutions for Fortune 500 clients at 360i.  

Prior to joining 360i, Sam served as a Principal Analytical Lead for Retail at Google, and he was awarded a Presidential Management Fellowship with the U.S. Treasury Department.

Outside the office Sam teaches graduate and executive education seminars on data science for both Emory University and Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business. John Gim - SVP, Marketing Sciences, RAPP, USA

Ralph Wirth is Director, Digital Innovation Hub at Schaeffler.

Previously, he was VP Technology, Sales Effectiveness at SUPERCRUNCH by GfK. In this role, he proved that leading a big, cross-functional team of cutting-edge IT and data science experts does not necessarily require you to be a total nerd best hidden behind his computer.

While being an award-winning author of numerous methodological publications, his educational roots in Business Administration and Economics explain why he puts a strong emphasis on developed analytics solutions being understandable and providing genuine business value.

Projjol Banerjea - Founder & Chief Product Officer, zeotap, India

Projjol Banerjea is the Founder and Chief Product Officer at zeotap, a global data platform aggregates deterministic high-quality data at scale from unique sources - such as telecom operators - for better audience targeting, insights and identity matching

His prior roles include those as Chief Product Officer at premium network Moboqo, acquired by mobile advertising company Applovin (in turn acquired by private equity firm Orient Hontai Capital for $1.4B), as well as VP Marketing & Business Development at supply side platform Fyber (formerly SponsorPay), acquired by RNTS Media for $190 million.

Projjol earned an MBA at Oxford, where he was a member of the university's lightweight rowing team. He also holds an MS in HCI from Indiana University's School of Informatics, a BA in Computer Science (highest honours, Phi Beta Kappa) from DePauw University, and is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT). Ruben Cuevas, PhD - Assistant Professor, Telematic Engineering Department, UC3M, Spain

Dr. Ruben Cuevas is currently Assistant Professor at the Telematics Engineering Department at University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M). Previously he was Courtesy Assistant Professor in the CIS Department at University of Oregon (US) and Research Visitor in the Internet Scientific Group at Telefonica Research Lab (Spain).

He obtained his PhD and MSc in Telematics Engineering and MSc in Telecommunications Engineering at University Carlos III of Madrid (Spain). Furthermore, he received his MSc in Network Planning and Management at Aalborg University (Denmark).

Ruben's main research interests include Privacy, Fraud Detection and Personalisation in Online Advertising, Online Social Networks and Internet Measurements.

He is co-author of more than 50 papers in prestigious international journals and conferences such as IEEE Infocom, ACM CoNEXT, WWW, IEEE/ACM TON, IEEE TPDS, PlosONE or Communications of the ACM. He has been the PI of 6 research projects funded by the EU H2020 and FP7 programs, the National Government of Spain and private companies and associations. Overall Rubenparticipated in more than 15 research projects.

Naresh Rajendra Shah - Co-founder and CTO, Untangle AI, Singapore

Naresh R. Shah is Co-founder and CTO of Untangle AI.

Previously he was Data Engineer at Procter & Gamble Co., where was responsible for setting up Data Science team for utilising IoT systems in order to improve productivity and drive efficiency of manufacturing systems in Beauty Product segment. 

He has a special interest in novel use cases of Natural Language Processing, Social Network Analytics and their application to Marketing. He’s a beta tester at the forefront of using and advocating new data science tools at organizations.

Naresh holds a Masters in Business Analytics and Big Data degree from IE Business School, Madrid. At IE Business School, he participated, led teams and won several events like IE Data Dive, Hotelbeds Big Data Challenge, and Procter and Gamble’s IT Business Challenge. He was also part of the winning team at the first Forbes Hackathon, in New York.

Scott Wolf - Data Scientist, Spotify, USA

Scott Wolf is a Data Scientist at Spotify, working in analytics research group in New York.

Prior to this, he was a data scientist at Huge, a digital agency in Brooklyn. There, he worked on a variety of data science projects for numerous tech, CPG, and financial sector clients. Before this, he worked as an analyst in market research.

Scott holds a PhD in Social Psychology with an emphasis on quantitative methods and psychometrics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Vivian Shangxuan Zhang - CTO/Chief Data Scientist, NYC Data Science Academy and SupStat Analytics, USA

Vivian Zhang is CTO/Chief Data Scientist, NYC Data Science Academy and SupStat Analytics.

She is a data scientist who has many years of practical experience in data technologies and the analytics industry, after developing her expertise in statistical methodologies and software and in a variety of programming languages.  She received double MS degrees in Applied Mathematics and in Computer Science and have Bachelor of Computer Science.

Neal Richter - CTO, Rakuten Marketing, USA

Neal Richter manages the Rakuten Marketing global technology team responsible for building high-scale web systems, data-mining algorithms and data-visualization products. The teams’s goal is to create relevant and effective data-driven products to drive significant bottom line and client value. Neal also oversees the data science team, responsible for the integration of data and platform learning via AI and machine learning.

Prior to Rakuten Marketing, Neal worked as a consultant at Hebbian Labs, where he oversaw data science and engineering issues for both startups and large companies. He was a major contributor to the development of the OpenRTB protocol and associated standards within the IAB Tech Lab. Neal was recently the CTO/Chief Scientist at the Rubicon Project, a pioneer in automated advertising, and RightNow Tech a CRM vendor.  

Neal holds ten patents and has published more than fifteen academic papers.
