Yasaman Hadjibashi - Managing Director, Head of Data, Citi Global Consumer Bank, USA

Yasaman Hadjibashi is a business, data, and technology executive, who is currently Managing Director at Citi Group, leading Data for the Global Consumer Bank based in Dallas, US.

Prior to this, she led the innovation agenda for Barclays Africa Group across all business units for the entire continent as their Group Chief Creation Officer, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. This also entailed the bank's accelerator program in partnership with Techstars as well as their physical Innovation Hub called RISE based in Cape Town.  Yasaman was appointed to Barclays Africa Group's first ever Chief Data Officer at the age of 32, making her one of the youngest female C-level leaders in a big legacy institution such as Barclays in the emerging fields of Big data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. She defined and led the bank's big data transformation across all businesses for the continent, launching an award-winning portfolio of data products personalizing a number of the their retail customer experiences. Her product portfolio to date has won the 2017 Gartner Excellence Award for Best Global Advanced Analytics and Data Science as well as the 2017 EMEA Gartner Eye on Innovation Award for the Most Innovative Digital Business Model. 

She joined Barclays in 2010 In London after graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School. She worked in senior management positions across digital and mobile product innovation, client/customer experience and design, Co-creation and lean partnerships with global FinTechs. She has been fundamental in establishing big data capabilities as a Group-wide function across Barclays, whilst defining the bank’s next generation customer-centric Data strategy and driving the execution of a number of key big data initiatives.

In November 2016 Yasaman spoke at TEDx Johannesburg under the theme of "Abundance" about how digital mentorship nurturing soft skills can be key to academic engagement for youth and ultimately success. She continues her initiative called eSuccess to advocate and work towards a future where through the use of data and AI technologies, the next generation of a personalised digital mentorship platform will be implemented to help thousands of children thrive better in life. 

Born in Tehran, Iran, Yasaman moved to Hamburg, Germany with her family until she completed her secondary education. She then moved to US to obtain a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Berkeley. As an undergraduate student, she worked at Wells Fargo sparking her interest in financial services. After her graduation she worked for PwC in San Francisco and later Deutsche Bank Global Markets in New York. She was selected to be part of the 2017 cohort of the Presidential Leadership Scholars program, which is designed for leaders who share a commitment to helping solve society’s greatest challenges.

Scott Hendrickson, PhD - Director, Data Product and Services, Notion, USA

Dr. Scott Hendrickson is Director of Data Products at Notion Inc., a leader in IoT for home environment awareness. Notion partners with Insurers and home owners world wide delivering awareness solutions that avoid property loss and bring peace of mind.

Scott recently spent 6 years leading analytics at Twitter Data, working with partners and brands to discover marketing insights. Before joining Twitter, Scott worked with startups and established software companies building data analysis, machine learning, data visualization solutions and developing data strategy.

Dr. Hendrickson has a PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado, where he simulated beam particle-field interactions. 

Claudia Perlich, PhD - Chief Scientist, Dstillery & Senior Data Scientist, Two Sigma, USA

Claudia Perlich is the Chief Scientist of Dstillery and Senior Data Scientist of Two Sigma.

As Chief Scientist at Dstillery, Claudia is the visionary leader behind the design, development, analysis and optimization of the machine learning that drives digital advertising to prospective customers of brands.

As an active industry speaker and frequent contributor to industry publications, Claudia has emerged as one of the most prominent data scientist in the industry. Most recently, Claudia acted as the first female general chair of the premier data science conference KDD 2014. Additionally, she was named one of American Marketing Association's (AMA) 4 Under 40 Marketing Emerging Leaders Award, Fast Company's 100 Most Creatives and Crain's 40 under 40. Claudia has published over 50 scientific articles and holds multiple patents in machine learning.

She has won many data mining competitions as well as the KDD Best Paper Award for Data Leakage in 2011 and Bid Optimization in 2012.

Prior to joining Dstillery, she worked in Data Analytics Research at IBM's Watson Research Center, concentrating on data analytics and machine learning for complex real-world domains and applications.

Claudia has a PhD in Information Systems from NYU and an MA in Computer Science from the University of Colorado. Claudia takes active interest in the making of the next generation of data scientists and is teaching "Data Mining for Business Intelligence" in the NYU Stern MBA program. 

Lauren S. Moores, PhD - VP Data Strategy and Data Sciences, Indigo, USA

Lauren Moores is a data geek and strategist who uses dirty, disparate data to optimise business practices with relevant metrics and insightful stories. She has over 25 years in data strategy, data science and data creation in various information and tech industries, including a PhD in Economics from Brown University.   

Lauren is currently the VP, Data Strategy and Data Sciences at Indigo, a precision agriculture startup focused on innovative solutions of biostimulants in seed coating and tools of precision agriculture in partnership with farmers.  Her focus at Indigo is to combine emerging agronomy and other data with data science to provide new information products.

Lauren's previous roles include a focus on information services, behavioral insights and advertising technology platforms.  Most recently, Lauren ran data analytics and data strategy at Tala, a global fintech startup that transforms mobile behavioral and transactional data to provide financial identities to the underserved in emerging economies.  

Prior to Tala, Lauren served as VP, Strategy for Dstillery, a cross-device digital intelligence platform, and Chief Science Officer for EveryScreen Media, a mobile RTB and audience technology company acquired by Dstillery. Prior to EveryScreen, Lauren managed the science, data assets and data engineering teams at WPP's Kantar Compete, building large, global, multi-sourced digital consumer research panels and consumer analytics.

Lauren is an active speaker and writer on innovation through mobile data, technology and analytics, including prior lecturing at Brown, NYU and UCLA. She is on multiple boards, including the data advisory board for the USA for UNHCR, a non-profit which supports the UN Refugee Agency and the data science board for I-COM, a global organization focused on smart data marketing.  Lauren holds multiple patents in audience measurement and metadata creation and she advises entrepreneurs and start-ups regarding data and data technology.  Past companies include: Similar Web, Unbound Concepts, JumpShell TapDog and others.
