Yasaman Hadjibashi - Managing Director, Head of Data, Citi Global Consumer Bank, USA

Yasaman Hadjibashi is a business, data, and technology executive, who is currently Managing Director at Citi Group, leading Data for the Global Consumer Bank based in Dallas, US.

Prior to this, she led the innovation agenda for Barclays Africa Group across all business units for the entire continent as their Group Chief Creation Officer, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. This also entailed the bank's accelerator program in partnership with Techstars as well as their physical Innovation Hub called RISE based in Cape Town.  Yasaman was appointed to Barclays Africa Group's first ever Chief Data Officer at the age of 32, making her one of the youngest female C-level leaders in a big legacy institution such as Barclays in the emerging fields of Big data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. She defined and led the bank's big data transformation across all businesses for the continent, launching an award-winning portfolio of data products personalizing a number of the their retail customer experiences. Her product portfolio to date has won the 2017 Gartner Excellence Award for Best Global Advanced Analytics and Data Science as well as the 2017 EMEA Gartner Eye on Innovation Award for the Most Innovative Digital Business Model. 

She joined Barclays in 2010 In London after graduating with an MBA from Harvard Business School. She worked in senior management positions across digital and mobile product innovation, client/customer experience and design, Co-creation and lean partnerships with global FinTechs. She has been fundamental in establishing big data capabilities as a Group-wide function across Barclays, whilst defining the bank’s next generation customer-centric Data strategy and driving the execution of a number of key big data initiatives.

In November 2016 Yasaman spoke at TEDx Johannesburg under the theme of "Abundance" about how digital mentorship nurturing soft skills can be key to academic engagement for youth and ultimately success. She continues her initiative called eSuccess to advocate and work towards a future where through the use of data and AI technologies, the next generation of a personalised digital mentorship platform will be implemented to help thousands of children thrive better in life. 

Born in Tehran, Iran, Yasaman moved to Hamburg, Germany with her family until she completed her secondary education. She then moved to US to obtain a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Berkeley. As an undergraduate student, she worked at Wells Fargo sparking her interest in financial services. After her graduation she worked for PwC in San Francisco and later Deutsche Bank Global Markets in New York. She was selected to be part of the 2017 cohort of the Presidential Leadership Scholars program, which is designed for leaders who share a commitment to helping solve society’s greatest challenges.

Fernando Miguel Parreira - Director Comercial SAPO, Portugal Telecom, Portugal

Fernando Parreira is the Sales Director of SAPO.pt, a Digital Business Unit of Portugal Telecom. Besides the Sales role, Fernando is currently working in the development of Innovative Advertising Data Products based on the consumer data of the Telco, with cross-targeting between Televison Consumption and Internet Usage.

He was previously Head of the Online Classifieds Division in SAPO, where he contributed for the development of a Business Intelligence Model that helped Car Dealers get a better market forecast. Fernando has more than 15 years experience in the Digital Market, always related with monetization models (Advertising, e-Commerce and Classifieds).

Scott Clendaniel - AI/Machine Learning Instructor, Harvard University, USA

T. Scott Clendaniel is AI/Machine Learning Instructor for Harvard University.

Previously, he was the Vice President of Analytics for Morgan Stanley, where he focused on fraud detection and prevention for the firm’s $50 trillion per year wire transfer business. 

Scott began his career as a financial services marketing executive, raised on Citicorp’s pioneering data-driven practices. In 2001, he transitioned to Data Science, specializing in predicting consumer behavior such as transaction fraud (Dell Computer, PayPal, Sears), donations (St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital) and customer response (Mercedes, Los Angeles Times, AOL).

 

Scott Hendrickson, PhD - Director, Data Product and Services, Notion, USA

Dr. Scott Hendrickson is Director of Data Products at Notion Inc., a leader in IoT for home environment awareness. Notion partners with Insurers and home owners world wide delivering awareness solutions that avoid property loss and bring peace of mind.

Scott recently spent 6 years leading analytics at Twitter Data, working with partners and brands to discover marketing insights. Before joining Twitter, Scott worked with startups and established software companies building data analysis, machine learning, data visualization solutions and developing data strategy.

Dr. Hendrickson has a PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado, where he simulated beam particle-field interactions. 

Paul Dyson - Founder, Data2Decision, UK

Paul Dyson - Founder, Data2Decision, UK

Paul founded Data2Decisions in 2001 after working at Millward Brown, where he set up the econometric modelling unit, and Mindshare, where he oversaw the Advanced Techniques Group globally. Data2Decisions was sold to the Dentsu Aegis Group in August 2012 and now has offices in 12 countries around the world.

Paul is a Chartered Statistician with a 1st Class Honours degree in Econometrics and Statistics. His strength lies in the application of modelling outputs to solve business issues. He has written numerous papers and currently sits on the advisory editorial board of the JMRS.

Krassimir Kostov, PhD - Manager, Cognizant Analytics, Japan

Krassimir Kostov is a Manager at Cognizant Analytics, Cognizant Technology Solutions. Leveraging the company’s global capability, he helps leading multi-national and Japanese clients solve important business challenges by deriving value from data. As a Senior Data Scientist, his duties involve management consulting of C-level clients, as well as hands-on design, execution, and implementation of strategic Advanced Analytics solutions. Some examples include: customer acquisition, growth and retention, multi-channel marketing optimization, operations and efficiency optimization. His clients include companies from the Banking and Financial Services, Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Retail, Logistics, and Communications industries in Japan, APAC and even Europe.

Before joining Cognizant, Krassimir worked at the Analytics & Optimization Division of Netyear Group Corporation (NGC), a Japanese Digital Marketing agency. He was responsible for growing the Customer Analytics team’s Advanced Analytics and Strategic Solutions for clients in the luxury and fashion goods, insurance, automobile re-sale, and pharmaceutical industries. Employing NGC's unique data-driven approach to Digital Marketing, he and his team created value for leading Japanese and global clients, by optimizing their ROI across channels and customer lifecycle. He also contributed to the NGC’s blog, writing on Advanced Analytics topics.

Prior to Netyear, Krassimir was an Assistant Manager at the Analytics team at the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC), USA and India. His responsibilities included end-to-end development of Predictive Analytics models and strategies, which empowered internal clients to make more informed data-driven decisions. Major clients were Marketing Campaign Management, Assets and Liability Management, Online Savings, Branch Network Management, Product and Pricing, and Call Center Operations.

Krassimir is a Data Scientist with multi-geographical experience, and an extensive know-how in management consulting, acquisition, CRM and multi-channel analytics. He holds a PhD from the University at Buffalo, and an MA from the University of Delhi.

Norbert Wirth - CEO, Sqooba Deutschland GmbH, Germany

Norbert Wirth is the CEO of Sqooba Deutschland GmbH.

Most recently, he was the Director of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence of PwC Europe.

Previously, he was the visionary mastermind at SUPERCRUNCH by GfK, where he blended analytical expertise, data savviness, business sense and more years than he’d admit consulting numerous Fortune Global 500 companies in marketing analytics. Being a passionate number cruncher throughout his entire career he never lost focus on the one big vision: to move Data Science to the centre of the stage.

Previously, Norbert worked for GfK Group, as Global Head of Data and Sciences and was in charge of GfK’s Marketing and Data Sciences capabilities, data landscape and strategy. 

Amit Phansalkar - Chief Data Officer, Apptopia, USA

Amit is the Chief Data Officer and member of the executive team at Apptopia, a mobile data company.

Prior to this, Amit co-founded and was the CEO of Netra Systems, a machine vision company creating intelligence from online images in social media.

Prior to Netra, Amit was the Chief Data Officer for Massmutual, where he was responsible for the vision and data strategy for consumer data.

Amit has more than 20 years of experience building data products and businesses and served as the global director of data sciences and advanced analytics at Millward Brown digital. Prior to that, he was a co-founder with a successful exit at Cognika. Amit began his career in systems biology following graduate work at Los Alamos labs. He has 4 data science patents and over 20 peer reviewed publications to his name. 

In addition, Amit is the co-founder and principal at BotLab.io, a non-profit organization that focuses on security and fraud challenges in digital advertising. He has also served as the founding chair of I-COM Data Science Board. 

Joshua Koran - Managing Director, DMP, Sizmek, USA

Joshua Koran is currently Sizmek’s Managing Director for their data enablement product line.

Joshua is a true pioneer in digital marketing, behavioral targeting, data marketplaces and data management platforms with nearly 20 years’ experience in these domains. AdWeek recently recognized his contributions to this field, in which he holds 22 patents, by naming him one of the top innovators in the space.

Among his many accomplishments, he designed the industry’s first predictive behavioral targeting platform, the first data marketplace ad network, and the first three-screen (TV, mobile, display) behavioral profiling platform. Over the course of his international career, he has lead product, engineering, data science, user experience, business development, and commercialization teams in companies such as Turn, AT&T, Yahoo!, and ValueClick. Through his digital consultancy he has helped nearly two dozen other digital advertising companies improve their understanding and monetization of online data.

Joshua holds B.A. from Boston College, J.D. Law from U.C. Hastings College of the Law and M.B.A. from Oxford University.
