Vikram Bansal is the Chief Data Officer of Dentsu Aegis Network APAC in Singapore.
He is a passionate digital, data and analytics professional with a career spanning 22 years in research, advertising and analytics. Vikram strongly believes that advertising and communication is in the throes of massive changes, and more importantly is a precursor to even bigger changes in many other industries and the society at large. Whilst growth of digital has already led to seismic changes in the advertising industry, it’s now the turn of data and analytics to cause fundamental shifts in the way the advertising & marketingare structured.
In his current role, Vikram is responsible for building data expertise within the DAN group, drive development and deployment of data & analytics across ad disciplines, and help build an overall data ethos in the agency network. All this with an eye to keeping the agency group fully prepared to win with data-led communication solutions.
Vikram is also the Product Lead at Dentsu Aegis Network’s, Global Data Innovation Centre, where he is responsible for developing bespoke data driven products in areas of effectiveness, people identification and information curation.
Throughout his career, Vikram has striven to drive himself and the organisations he has worked into remain relevant, innovative and profitable, whether it was accomplishing a dramatic digitally-led turnaround of Zenith Optimedia during 2008-2012, or driving Dentsu Aegis Network to become a dominant agency network with an industry leading digital analytics practice, since 2012. He has been recognised as Singapore’s Media Person of the Year, 2010.
Vikram has a PhD in Business from Singapore Management University, and his research focused on understanding the effectiveness driver of digital advertising.
