Yew Leong spent his first 14 years in two media agencies starting from a "traditional" media planning & buying role. In 2001, he took on the first digital role within Starcom Media and never looked back. In 2007, Yew Leong joined MindShare as Head of Digital and also took on responsibilities on talent management and organizational development, and in 2009, he rejoined Stardom MediaVest Group (now Publicis Media) with management roles of Executive Director (client operations) and Head of Digital.
In 2014, he decided to leave his comfort zone and spent the last 4+ years immersed in a fully digital environment, from tech to creative & content, leading a performance media team on programmatic buying, search, business analytics, as well as taking on M&As and forming strategic partnerships; while still being grounded on P/L & Account Management.
Venturing into the big data & tech scene, Yew Leong has joined LotaData, heading up Business Development and Partnerships across Asia. LotaData provides the people intelligence platform for apps, cities and businesses, transforming raw location signals into geo-segments and meaningful insights about people movement.
When not in meetings and global calls, you can find Yew Leong practising his trail running around the nature reserves of Singapore (where he’s based) or taking part in ultra trail races around the region.
